Software Engineer,
E3 Center,
National Taiwan University.
Wei-Chun (Jim) Tseng is a Software Engineer at the E3 Center, where he focuses on product development and translating research into practical software applications. He works with researchers to turn research needs and outcomes into usable tools, data platforms, and integrated systems. With expertise in backend development, data engineering, and system architecture, Jim connects research objectives with product requirements, supporting development from early prototypes through deployment and ongoing maintenance.
Jim holds a Master’s degree from the Computer-Aided Engineering (CAE) division of the Department of Civil Engineering at National Taiwan University. His academic work focused on energy and environmental data analysis, with research findings published in Q1 international journals. This background helps him understand research methods and translate complex analytical requirements into software that supports practical use.
Before joining the E3 Center, Jim worked in software engineering at Micron Technology, contributing to large-scale data processing systems and enterprise applications. His experience spans backend services, data pipelines, and performance optimization in environments with demanding reliability requirements. He brings this engineering experience to his current work, focusing on building reliable, maintainable products that make research outcomes useful and accessible beyond the research setting.
